making young people's good ideas happen

The Cornwall School for Social Entrepreneurs

The Cornwall School for Social Entrepreneurs was launched in the autumn of 2008 and was the seventh SSE to become established in the UK with investment from the ESF (European Social Fund) Convergence Programme, co-financed by Job Centre Plus through the Cornwall Works for Social Enterprise programme and the (ERDF) European Regional Development Fund.

The first 3 years of the programme was managed by Cornwall Development Company until our incorporation as a Community Interest Company in December 2011.

As a direct result of the ESF investment, Cornwall SSE has delivered three intensive nine month ‘core’ programmes and three prestigious Graduation ceremonies. We now have in excess of 40 Fellows of the Cornwall SSE Programme.

In addition to the Fellowship programme, Cornwall SSE has run a series of workshops and are proud to have worked, to date, with an additional 200 Students (associate fellows).

Several youths who we have worked with at The Street have been attending one of these workshops for a few weeks now, and some of them already have businesses planned out in their minds. Hopefully with The Cornwall School For Social Entrepreneurs help, these business plans will florish into a booming business for our youths.

Thank you for attempting to build a better future for our youths.
