Our woodland project has been roughly divided into 3 zones. Welcome, animal and growing zones.

Welcome Zone

Our starting point is the welcome zone. We are currently clearing this area to provide vehicular access to the site. We will be fencing this area and then providing some much needed storage. The welcome zone in the long term will contain for storage units. These will be converter to allow development of our first 2 projects. These are a pizza delivery service and Radio Lostwithiel.

Animal Zone

We are bringing some animals to the woodland shortly. Initially we will purchase several pigs which will help clear the land of brambles and overgrowth. When ready they will be slaughtered and the meat sold to raise additional income. Chickens and ducks will also be arriving. These will provide eggs which will be sold for to raise an income. Long term we have plans to develop a duck zoo.

Growing Zone

Our growing zone will be spread across the whole site. At the top of the site we will locate a polytunnel and this area will become our allotment. However, we will also develop the woodlands to provide food at all levels (permaculture).

Last year we grew a variety of fruit trees and bushes and these will be replanted in and around the woodlands and more added as the project grows.
